In their last term of this school year, our Pre-Nursery class in St. George Madrid made the most of last season, working on spring-themed activities and crafts. Enjoying the warmer weather with a mix of educational tasks like a Carrot Garden where they practiced numbers, counting, shapes, used motor skills for the playdoh, and learned how vegetables grow.
Our Nursery class couldn’t be left behind in this spring fever in the Early Years, with their topic being Seeds & Planting. They introduced the unit by reading the book «The Enormous Turnip». With this in mind, our younger students painted a turnip using watercolors in shades of purple, yellow and green. They also planted some bulbs in the garden so they can watch their growth in real-time. It was a very special task for them to look after them as the weeks went by.
