Madrid Games is a mixed multi-sports league for international schools where points are won throughout the year by competing in a variety of tournaments such as cricket, volleyball, and swimming. On this occasion, we hosted a Kwik Cricket tournament in which our St. George Madrid A and B Teams won all of their fixtures in the group stage and ended up facing each other in the final. The A team won narrowly by 4 runs and were crowned champions!
Special thanks to Ms. White and the PE team for their organisation of this inter-school competition. It was great to welcome other schools back onto our site for the first time in more than a year to compete together. Well done to all of the students who took part; it was a great tournament with visiting schools King College, Dallington, and International School of Madrid.
All games were conducted following our safety protocols. We sent out Covid guidance to reassure participating parties, highlighting the importance of this being followed upon arrival.
