We are very pleased to announce the re-opening of our school auditorium after a period of closure for refurbishment. The venue has been completely remodelled to provide us with a state-of-the-art venue for hosting large group gatherings, concerts, assemblies, and other cultural events.
Our St. George Madrid auditorium boasts a large central stage with seating for an audience of up to 500. It is fully air-conditioned, wheelchair accessible, and capable of hosting both school performances and visiting performers. It has integrated sound, light, and projection facilities to enhance the experience for both audience and performers. We have already booked two outside companies to come and perform in the lead-up to Christmas and are busy planning our own Christmas shows to take full advantage of this wonderful new facility.
The re-development of the venue also coincides this year with an exciting new curriculum programme- we have our first ever IGCSE Drama group which has started in Year 9, led by Ms. Longdon, and they will be the first to rehearse in the new venue starting this October. We look forward to welcoming all of our students, teachers, and parents as well as the wider community into the new venue over the coming months.
