Secondary school pupils attended their first assembly. They were welcomed with a student-teacher interpretation of the song “Let it be”. Mr. Sutcliffe, Head of Pastoral Care, reviewed St George’s main values (respect, responsibility, fairness, kindness and personal best) and explained the importance of following and implementing them in both our school community and in our own lives.
During the academic year, pupils attend an assembly every two weeks in which they discuss issues like values, coexistence, respect, helping others and teamwork. Through them, students learn not only academic principles, but also social principles, which is important in order to give them the tools to be happy and guide them in life.
