Cross country day at St George Madrid was an excellent, well organised event with a high level of engagement from our students. They really enjoyed the day and it was great to see them work hard to achieve their personal best.
On the day, our Year 12 students set up activity stalls and a bake sale to raise money in aid of earthquake relief for Turkey and Syria. This contributed to their CAS, a core part of the IBDP that involves partaking in creativity, action, and service related activities throughout the year. Not only did our Year 12 students get to use this time as part of their service activities for CAS, but all of our students got to enjoy the games and food as a break from running.
A special thank you to our PE department and all the staff involved, as well as our student helpers. It was also great to see the parents who attended.
